“Where do we come from?
What are we?
Where are we going?”
-Paul Gaugin

I moved back to Georgia in1991 to the mountain town of Dahlonega. After a year-long stint on a trail crew in the woods, I found myself back in school – this time at North Georgia College here in Dahlonega. I got my degree (with honors) in Piano Performance in 1998. While in school, I took a job as a church accompanist for the Georgia Mountains Unitarian Universalist Church (GMUUC). I had never heard of “UUism,” but that was the beginning of my current path of a professional musician in this faith I so cherish. After almost 10 years at GMUUC, I now am the Music Director at the Northwest UU Church in Metro Atlanta. As secretary for the Board of the Unitarian Universalist Musicians Network, and through my work as a Guest Speaker/Clinician, I often travel to other UU churches around the country. It is my mission to share the magic of music in worship, and I’m blessed to do so.

Now, when folks ask, “What do you do?” I reply: “I am a musician.”
